Wuxi debuted an official outlet center distributing imported goods in the Wuxi Industrial Expo Park, Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (WND), on May 28, Wuxi Daily reported.
It is the city’s first exhibition center and trade platform for foreign goods approved by the municipal government, occupying 13,000 square meters for product display and sales in the first phase.
The outlet center has been assigned to roughly 10 business agents and distributors with extensive experience in global commodity trade. It provides abundant quality goods from over 30 countries, covering nearly 20,000 varieties such as foods, alcohol, household goods, cosmetics, accessories and domestic appliances, as well as personalized services according to customer demand.
"Wuxi’s Industrial Expo Park is the core part of the technology and finance cooperation zone between China and South Korea. Settling the outlet center here is one of WND’s important measures to push forward the cooperation zone’s construction and development and grasp the historic opportunity of the national free trade area strategy," said an official from the administrative committee of WND.
The outlet center's planning area is 70,000 sq m, and it will further develop to a comprehensive service center that integrates shopping, restaurants, amusement and sightseeing with the construction of exhibition pavilions, showrooms of foreign brands and international restaurants.
