The government of Wuxi National Hi-tech District (Xinwu District) has issued an announcement to collect public opinions on Wuxi’s livelihood projects in 2017.
The annual measure aims to map out 10 major projects every year to improve locals’ livelihood. Wuxi government has put the measure a priority and keeps on finishing its target on time.
This year’s work highlights four principles. In addition to legitimacy, wide coverage and feasibility, the projects should be concerned with people’s most urgent problems and the city’s economic and social development.
Based on the principles, the projects mainly cover areas of social security, poverty alleviation, education and health care, entrepreneurship and employment, public service, transport, culture and sports, environmental treatment, social security, city management, ecology and civilization.
The items to be solved by legal ways, along with report, petition and complaint, are excluded from the collection.
The public is allowed to submit opinions via letter, Internet and media. The Xinwu District government will summarize and choose the submissions, and set up a database for the finalists. The top 10 projects will be released to the public after the government’s assessment while other opinions will be dealt with by relevant departments.
